(Matthew 4:2-3) And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
The question of identity is what Satan uses against believers and this has been the major problem of some Christians. Their ignorance about the Word of God concerning their identity is the reason why they are vulnerable to the subtility of the devil. Ignorance of identity in Christ gives the bastard devil the leverage to carry out his heinous activities in a man’s life.
Satan can only penetrate into a man’s life and destiny when he fails to affirm the man authority of identity in Christ whenever he (the devil) throws the question of identity towards him. A man’s inability to know the status of his identity in Christ gives Satan the upper hand to rupture his glorious future. Satan’s dirty hands can only be visible in a man’s life when the man is standing on the podium of ignorance concerning his identity in Christ.
Beloved, the devil is not afraid of your position in the church when you do not know your worth in Christ. Every man born of a woman has a compulsory day that Satan pays him/her a visit. Your victory over him can only be attained through your vivid knowledge of who you are in Christ. After Jesus has fasted for forty days and forty nights, the devil showed up with his subtility questions of Christ identity. Despite knowing vividly that Jesus is the Son of God, satan asked Jesus “if you are the Son of God, command that this stone be made bread” (Matthew 4:1-3).
Child of God, let me remind you of your identity in Christ, least the devil use your ignorance to perpetuate evil against you. You are a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). You are the apple of God’s eyes (Zachariah 2:8). You are carrying the full fledge Divine deity in your inside (Colossians 2:9-10). You have been endorsed with the stamp of untouchability by Celestial entities (Galatians 6:17). You are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). God is your shepherd and your sufficiency (Psalms 23:1).
Beloved, let this mind be in you so that whenever the devil shows up with the question of your identity in Christ, you will be able to answer him with authority.
Meditation: A man’s inability to know the status of his identity in Christ gives Satan the upper hand to rupture his glorious future.
RM: Satan, You Came Late
Prayer: O Lord, by the revelation of my identity in Christ, I declare with authority, that I am untouchable, in Jesus Name, Amen.
