Today, I am explaining one of the Keys to OVERFLOW in ministerial expansions and prosperous life. The key is never to relocate to a ‘Greener Pasture’ when the Lord has not relocated you. Wherever The Lord God has planted you is your Greener Pasture, because if The Lord is not with you in the most beautiful place on earth, it becomes a Dry Ground for you. I have seen a lot of children of God who escaped from their countries to ‘Greener Pastures’, suffering and managing seriously in USA, in Europe, in Canada, in Australia, in Asia. I have seen many people reducing themselves into doing ridiculous jobs they would never have done in their country where they have relocated from.
God spoke to Isaac,
“Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.
Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands,….
Do you know that there is no amount of prayers and fasting that could have giving that woman food in Zarephath if she had not received insight to obey The Lord and release all what she had to The Lord at that time? It is the Key.
Presently, all over around us, there is serious famine. There is retrenchment, layoff, job-loss, massive unemployment, rising inflations, economic depression all over the nations of the world.
How can a child of God survive in a time like this? BY GIVING TO GOD YOUR LAST MEAL….BY SOWING IN THE MIDST OF FAMINE….BY GIVING TO GOD IN THE TIME OF LACK….BY PAYING YOUR TITHES OR DOUBLING YOUR TITHES AND TOPPING IT UP WITH FAT OFFERINGS…UNTO THE LORD.
The Lord God has been mindful of us all along. He has been mindful of our lacks and inadequacies. The unpaid school fees of our children, unpaid house rents, the medical bills, the mortgages, the unpaid bank loans, the pilling-up debts…..and a lot of God’s children have been living on their last meals. YET THE LORD KNOWS HOW TO SEND US AN ELIJAH WHO WOULD LEAD US OUT OF THESE PREDICAMENTS.
God spoke to Elijah, that He had commanded the widow to feed him. So also, must God have commanded many of us to give to missions, give to missionaries, give to ministries and ministers, give to building projects, sponsor pastors’ salaries, adopt missionaries, care for missionaries’ children, pay some peoples’ hospital bills, build a church for Him, etc, just as a prelude to getting the pots of our last meal refilled continuously.
What has The Lord commanded you to give to His work when you have almost nothing? Do not argue but obey Him like the widow did. Many times, we give excuses of not having much in our hands, but The Lord does not always wait till we have much in our hand, He loves it most when we give our last meal, because, that is when He would move in our situations the most.
GOD HIMSELF HAD NO OTHER CHILD BUT THE ONLY ONE HE GAVE….He loves it when we give our last meal at His command.
ABRAHAM HAD NO OTHER SON OF COVENANT BUT ISAAC, …and he commanded him to take his ONLY SON whom he loved to the mountain for sacrifice….He wanted to know maybe Abraham could give his last meal, before He renewed His covenant with him.
God loves it when we give our last meal. Many years ago,, we had an only bus, in our ministry which carried us to ministrations. It was the only vehicle in the ministry at the time. Then, one morning, The Lord asked a question and said: “Can you give Me your Isaac ?” We were amazed when He explained to us later that He wanted us to go and give our only bus to another ministry. It was as if we were crazy. The entire members were astonished at this strange and bizarre instruction. However, we followed. He even instructed that we should not give Him a lame offering, He said we should take the bus to the mechanic and panel beaters and do all necessary repairs on the body. We did.
We repainted the bus and went ahead to write the name of the ministry on the body of the bus. Then we drove the bus to the ministry base. We met them in a conference and they had just finished praying that the Lord would give them a bus. When they saw the bus already in their ministry name, they went wild. We dropped the bus and came back home in public transport. We gave our last meal. But The Lord has never stopped refilling our pots of flour and oil since then, and WE HAVE NEVER STOPPED GIVING OUR LAST MEALS ANY TIME THE LORD COMMANDS. You never stopped sowing, so that you can continue harvesting.
What is a Principal Key to OPEN DOOR in the time of famine? Giving Him your Last Meal.
