It’s Time To Break The Curse Of Poverty Over Your Life And Family Pt 2 – Korede & Esther Komaiya

Wednesday, 21st Sept. 2022

A good [man] leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. Pro. 13:22 (NKJV)

There is no justifiable explanation for Poverty other than the fact, that it is a curse. Living from hand to mouth, labouring in vain, efforts without measurable results, not inheriting wealth, and not being able to leave durable riches for the next generations are all manifestations of curses. When God created man, He gave him wealth. Everything was at the fingertips of Adam to enjoy. It was his disobedience that brought curses which include poverty and lack. Some people erroneously believe that poverty is a geographical problem. It is not. It is a problem of global importance. There are many poor people in developed nations, just as we have them in developing nations. Similarly, poverty is not associated with any profession; it is an economic problem that cuts across every field of human endeavour.

It was man’s disobedience that brought the curse of poverty in the beginning; even today, wherever you see poverty, it means there is still disobedience somewhere. Therefore, to break the yoke of poverty over your life and family, the journey starts with absolute obedience to God in your finances. You must understand the law of God’s portion. Never add God’s portion to your portion. Understand what you should not touch. The LORD’s portion starts with your Tithe, which is ten percent of your gross income. If you read through Malachi 3:6-11, you will discover that all the blessings God attached to paying your tithes are economic blessings. Refusing to honour God with your tithes will shut God out of your finances, and it’s a matter of time before things get difficult for such persons.

After you have given God His portion which is the first ten percent, you are still supposed to honour Him with a free-will offering from the ninety percent. In Deuteronomy 16:16, the Scriptures say, no one must appear before God empty-handed. Whenever you come to worship in His house, you are expected to come with a befitting seed and give it in honour of God. Other givings that provoke the blessings in your direction include: giving to your parents (both the spiritual and the earthly parents) and giving to the less privileged. As you commit to a life of obedience in your finances, the floodgates of monumental blessings will fling open in your direction.

Father in the Name of Jesus, I receive grace for a life of absolute obedience to your instructions as regards my finances. Today, I and my family enter into a covenant of blessings, the curse of poverty is shattered, and move into the realm of surplus in Jesus Mighty Name.

To break the yoke of poverty over your life and family, the journey starts with absolute obedience to God in your finances.
