WORK FOR PEACE
“Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14 [NLT]
The greatest gift you can offer your generation is a good home. If homes are good, society will be good. When you correct the home, you correct the society. The home is so important because it’s the first school of every child, and advanced learning curve for parents, which is why it is commonly affirmed, “charity begins at home.” All bandits, kidnappers, terrorists, prostitutes, ritualists, human traffickers, hired assassins, corrupt politicians are from a home. A good home begins with a good marriage.
A lot of people want a good home that is all round peaceful, but are not prepared to make the sacrifices required. Evidenced in today’s scripture, peace is work. A good marriage is work. A good home is hard work. If you give “bad” children to the world, you’ve ruined your world; you’ve practically contributed to the destruction of the world. Peace is not automatic; if there is no peace in your home, it’s because you didn’t work for it. Work at living in peace with your spouse, children, relations and in-laws.
