(2 Corinthians 4:18) So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Turning on the news, it is easy to get absorbed in current happenings that some Christians have forgetting the most important thing. For Christ’s believer, there is a view that we need that which reaches beyond the immediate concerns of today. That view is eternity. I would like you to take off the lens of your present circumstances and look with a steadfast gaze towards eternity.

Living with eternity in view is conducting yourself and life with eternity as a major consideration (Ecclesiastics 12:13-14). It means living now with readiness for eternity or living as a pilgrim and stranger on earth. It is living with the full knowledge that this world is not your home (1 Peter 2:11).

Living with eternity in view is living prepared for His coming. It is not trying to get prepared, but being prepared every seconds of the day. It is living in this present time with the end in perspective or in view. It is conducting your life’s actions with eternity as the major consideration, knowing that everything we do on earth has eternal implications.

Living with eternity in view is knowing that all earthly actions have eternal consequences. Many people forget that they will give account of whatever they do here on earth. Living with eternity in view is living as a citizen of heaven here on earth. Below are some tips on how to live with Eternity in view:
Live to please God with your life.
Live to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world.
Live with a clear conscience, void of offence.
Have the consciousness of the presence of God.

Beloved, eternity is real. Where will you spend eternity: in heaven with the Lord or in hell with satan? If you close your eyes and the pulse in your heart is no more ticking, where do you think you deserve to be, considering your actions, lifestyles and life’s priorities?

Meditation: If God’s presence is not your interest here on earth, then His presence will never be yours in eternity.
