(John 5:26) For as the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself
As we continue our discussion on attributes of immortality, I want you to know that immortality is the realm of God’s existence. Immortality is that status of the Godhead that is inherently inapplicable and non-subjectable to death, decadence or retrogression. The Bible says that Jesus has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel (2 Timothy 1:10). If you desire immortality, there are attributes you must possess. Below are more attributes of immortality that anyone who desires to dwells in the realm of immortality must possess:
- Honouring Ancient Landmarks: Ancient landmarks are the attributes and practices of our faith endorsed and enacted by founding patriarchs and apostles of old. The things which constitute ancient landmarks include tithe, first-fruit, sacrificial seed, fasting, etc. They look ordinary, but they are sacred practices emanating from the association of immortality with the patriarchs of our faith. They are secrets keys to unlock mysterious doors. You cannot desecrate or revile ancient landmarks and assume that the Holy Spirit will walk with you. Honouring ancient landmarks helps a believer develop a deeper bond with the Spirit of Immortality.
- Boldness: Boldness is another attribute of those who walk in the realm of immortality. The Bible says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Cowards do not function in the realm of immortality. Be bold in defense and in declaration of the Gospel. Since the days of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent taketh it by force (Matthew 11:12). Child of God, always be bold! Do not cower before satan, if you do, he will harass you.
Child of God, immortality is that pure fire that does not have the capacity to be infected by any form of death. It is this kind of life that a believer possesses. The resurrection of Jesus Christ was the event of the manifestation of immortality. Ensure you have this Life and this Life if Christ.
