Thanksgiving and praise are vital tools for victorious, successful and quality Christian living
Praise is a tool of inestimable worth in the life of the child of God; praise is an asset of unquantifiable value in the life of the child of God
WHAT PRAISE (AND THANKSGIVING) REPRESENTS IN SCRIPTURE:
1. Praise is a Garment (Isa. 61:3; Ps. 33:1)
1a. Your praise can define your identity
1b. Your praise defines your authority
To live without praise is to live without identity and authority
To be praiseless is to be naked in the Spirit
1c. Your praise defines your dignity
1d. Your praise determines your opportunities (Isa. 22:22)
2. Praise is a Weapon (of war) (2Chron. 20:22-23; Josh. 6:1-20)
2a. Your praise can make the difference between winning and losing in life
2b. Praise equips you to be equal to the urgencies and emergencies of life
3. Praise is a Sacrifice (Jer. 33:11; Ps. 54:6; Heb. 13:15)
3a. You cannot be vibrant in praise and be lacking in fire because sacrifice provokes fire (1Kings 18:38)
3b. Praise is a sacrifice that establishes you in covenant with God (Ps. 50:5)
Your praise activates covenant and when you walk in covenant, you walk under covering
Praise moves you from claiming promises to walking in Covenant
WHAT SPECIFIC POWER IS IN PRAISE?
1. Praise breaks down barriers and creates openings (Ps. 114:1-End; Josh. 6:20)
2. Praise causes God to step into life’s battles and take them over (2Chron. 20:22)
When you give God praise He steps in and when He steps in He takes over and when He takes over, IT IS OVER!
3. Praise imparts supernatural might and strength into the life of the saint (Neh. 8:10; Hab. 3:17-19; Prov. 24:10; Ps. 122:1, 119:164)
Praise enmightens and strengthens; when strength comes victory in battle is confirmed
4. Praise establishes the presence and anointing of God upon the life of the saint (2Chron. 5:13-14; Ps. 22:3; Acts 10:38; Isa. 10:27)
Your worship life increases the Oil on your life and the Oil on your life will scatter the yokes around your life
5. Praise is a spiritual climate changer (2Chron. 5:13-14; Isa. 61:3)
The climate of your life affects the outcome of your life
Negative, depressing climates give way for positive, motivating atmospheres by the power of praise.
B1. Praise empowers the saint to possess their possession (Judg. 1:1-2)
You are empowered to take delivery of what God has for you by your praise
Praise will give you what certificates and connections cannot give you
B2. Praise introduces confusion into the camp of the enemy bringing deliverance to the saint (Acts 16:25-26; 1Sam. 16:23)
There are two languages that the devil cannot understand – the language of praise and the language of tongues
B3. Praise brings down the Hand of God on the life of the saint (2Kings 3:15)
3a. The Hand of God brings direction, it shows you what to do to escape the traps of the enemy
3b. The Hand of God releases strength and speed for exploits (1Kings 18:46)
B4. Praise unveils and unleashes potentials out of the life of the praiser (Ps. 119:164)
4a. Your potential is your vehicle to your destiny
4b. Your potential open up your opportunities (Prov. 18:16)
4c. Your potential destroys your adversity
B5. Praise puts situations and systems under pressure to release what has been held captive (Ps. 67:5-7; Jonah 2:9-10)
HOW DO YOU PRAISE EFFECTIVELY?
1. Recognise praise as a major portion of your life’s assignment (Isa. 43:21; 1Pet. 2:9)
2. Focus on the Lord and not on things if praise must be effective (Phil. 4:4; Hab. 3:18; Isa. 61:10)
3. Endeavour to remember the benefits of the Lord in your life (Ps. 103:1-5; Mal. 2:2)
Not to forget His benefits is not to forfeit His blessings; to forget His benefits is to forfeit His blessings (Mal. 2:2)
It doesn’t matter what is not working in your life, identify what is working and praise God for it.
4. Resist the temptation of murmuring, complaining and grumbling (1Cor. 10:10)
Murmuring brings struggling and collapsing
B1. Recognise that praise is your reason for living (Ps. 104:33; 119:175; 146:2)
B2. Make the Lord the target of your passion and pursuit and worship will be effortless (Ps. 42:1; 63:8)
B3. Determine to consciously and continuously acknowledge the acts of His goodness in your life, even in the face of challenges (John 6:11-12)
When you acknowledge the goodness of God in the face of need, you activate more drastic dimensions of His manifestations in your life
B4. Determine to avoid the temptation of accusing God for the challenges of life (Job 1:22)
If you make the Help of your life to become the enemy of your soul you die in helplessness
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us today. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, I recognise that my existence is to praise You, I recognise that my life is to be lived in praise. Thank You Lord for my life’s assignment, I will praise You. Father, thank You because You are my focus, not the things around me. I am sorry for ever forgetting the things You have done in my life, I remember You have kept me alive and kept me in health. I am sorry for ever murmuring, grumbling and complaining. I am before You this morning, and I want to praise You, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– By your praise this afternoon, your respect shall change and opportunities shall open up
– Every urgency planned for you is arrested now!
– The next time the enemy comes around you, by the weapon of praise, they shall be wasted!
– By the power of praise, every obstacle around your life and destiny, your career and marriage is dissolved in Jesus’ Name!
– In this season, everywhere the devil tried to block you, as you praise, Jehovah shall make a way for you in Jesus’ Name!
– Every battle in your life, by your praise, Jehovah shall step in and as He steps in, IT IS OVER!
– The last battle you lost is the last forever!
– Every current battle around your life, by the power of praise, God shall give you the strength to win!
– In the name of Jesus, no battle in your life is permitted to cross from 2020 into 2021
– Because of you, God will intervene in the battles of your loved ones!
– By the praise that will go up this morning, the Presence and Anointing of God will come upon your life and break every yoke around your life in Jesus’ Name!
– Everything that wants to make your life a mockery is arrested today in Jesus Name!
– 2021 is not permitted to arrive until you reach your target for 2020. The speed coming upon you will catapult you to reach your target for 2020 in Jesus’ Name!
– As we praise God today, that gift and potential inside you is coming out!
– You shall be found in the palace before this year is over! They will look for you and send for you!
– Your praise will cause God to speak to your situation, your prison, and your captor and you shall be released!
– Your praise is putting upon you a brand new garment!
– I declare your victory in every battle of life right now!
– Every barrier, obstacle and obstruction in front of you before now, by this praise it has collapsed!
– Any area of life where you are trusting God for an opening, that opening is created now!
– A new dimension of spiritual energy, and capacity, receive it now!
– Fresh anointing to tackle the current battles of your life is hereby released upon you!
– I prophesy a change of climate and atmosphere around your life, receive it now!
– The grace to praise well is released upon you now!
– Every closed door is opened right now!
– Expect last minute miracles!
– 2020 is not permitted to become 2021 until all that is yours enters into your hands!
– Everyone here today that has been robbed by the devil, everything the devil took from you or kept from you, I prophesy, they are released now!
– Every trap or snare set for you or your loved ones by the enemy in the remaining balance of 2020, the traps are set on fire!
– Every prison or hole that the devil has kept you or your resources, or anything belonging to you, today by the prophetic and apostolic mantle of fire on my life, I declare those prisons are broken open and what is yours is released into your hands!
– Any devil feasting on your life or toying with your destiny, today, we declare those powers are set on fire!
– Any area where your restoration is needed, I declare you are restored, your life, destiny, and marriage are restored!
– Everything Jehovah has packaged for you this year shall still be realised this year!
– As you step into this praise, everything that has been prophesied today shall be your portion!
– I prophesy increase for you in this end of year in Jesus’ Name! (Eccl. 7:8, Job 8:7)
– It may appear impossible but this year shall end as the best year of your life so far in Jesus’ Name!
