3 Powerful Ways To Secure Divine Intervention – Tunde Korede

Sometimes, there are certain abysmal incidents that happen to us, that only the Hand of God can rescue us from such incidents. Sincerely, there are problems only God can solve. Because these problems are too complex and unimaginably confounding for man to properly tackle and overcome. Owning to the foregoing, here comes the need for divine intervention.

Needless I say, no grown-up believer secures divine intervention by crying, complaining and grumbling all day. A child that cannot verbalize his needs/thoughts could possibly secure divine intervention by crying (Gen. 21:17). But this is not always true for grown-ups.
Also, divine intervention cannot be secured by wishing or by looking up to men. Therefore, there are biblical technicalities to follow for everyone to secure God’s attention at will. These are;

(1) Prayer

Exodus 2:23

During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and CRIED OUT, AND THEIR CRY FOR HELP because of their slavery WENT UP TO GOD.

God could not intervene and deliver the Israelites from their suffering and hard labour in the hands of the Egyptians, until they cried out to God. As compassionate as the Lord is, He could not come to their rescue until they cried out to Him.

Recall that the Scriptures says that he who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Until you begin to call upon the Name of the Lord, you may not be rescued. You must speak with the Father before you secure His attention.

There is nothing hidden before Him. He knows everything but you must realize that He is never an intruder. You must cultivate the habit of calling upon Him frequently at every point of your life.

Are you ill? Are you broke? Are you in trouble? Have you been convicted for a matter you know nothing about? Are you in a situation that no man can rescue you from? Then, stop crying all day. Start praying to Him. His Word says, Is anyone in trouble, let him pray (James 5:13).

Start praying because the more you pray, the more you see the Hand of God. The less you pray, the more you see the hand of the devil in your life. The Lord will not rise up and help you because you are suffering. He will only help you because you cry out to Him.

2. Faith

Mark 2:5, 11
5, When Jesus SAW THEIR FAITH, hesaid to the paralytic, ‘’Son, your sins are forgiven.’’
11, ‘’I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.’’

In this story, four people carried a young man who was paralytic through the roof so that Jesus could see him. Because the room had been filled up with people and there was no room left.

So, by their usual faith, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus, and lowered the man for Jesus to see. Quite unusual! When he saw their FAITH not their complaints or cries, Jesus was compelled to heal him.

This gives us the understanding that faith provokes divine intervention. Great men and the patriarchs of old did exploits through their faith. You need to increase your faith in order to secure God’s intervention.

By faith, you can rebuke sickness. By faith, you can pray and get results (Heb. 11:6). Therefore, I implore you to be a man or woman of faith so as to secure divine intervention.

3. By Giving Thanks

John 6:11

Jesus then took the loaves, GAVE THANKS, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

The loaves of bread and two small fish were multiplied through thanksgiving. Jesus did nothing else than to give thanks and everything multiplied. Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to the Lord to trigger divine intervention.

The people of Judah experienced victory over their enemies by singing and praising God (2 Chron. 20:22). Owning to the foregoing, praises provokes the Hand of God and cause God to deliver His people.

Being a grumbler will only make you a loser. You must be a man or woman who praises God from the depth of your earth. Forget about things that seem not to be working. Learn to provoke God’s intervention on life’s challenges by giving Him praises all the day. This is the secret or winners in the Kingdom.
